In September 2015, the best sporting event in the world visits our green and pleasant land. In other words, the 2015 Rugby World Cup is coming to England!

We are pleased to announce that as Kingswood Rugby Club members, the IRB are offering you ‘Priority Access’ to tickets, before the remainder go on sale to the general public. We have been given an allocation of tickets for the Priority Access sale.

To be eligible to buy tickets, you MUST register with us BEFORE THE 5th MAY, THAT IS ONLY 3 DAYS TIME! We will then pass on your details on to the official 2015 RWC website.

We have a total of 128 tickets available to you. 64 of which are for games at Twickenham. The other matches take place around the country at the Millennium Stadium, Kingsholm, etc.

For the 10 England games at Twickenham, the club has to select who gets the tickets, as stipulated by the IRB, this is to ensure a fair chance for everyone. The only fair way of doing this will be by a draw. For example, we have an allocation of just 6 tickets for the final. Everyone who wants a ticket for the final will go into a pot. We shall draw 3 names. Each person will get the chance to buy 2 tickets to the final. Draws will take place for the other 9 England matches as well.

The tickets for non-England fixtures are sold on first come, first serve basis and are restricted to a MAXIMUM OF 4 TICKETS PER PERSON, PER GAME.

Remember, these tickets are for the Priority Access Sale, which was created to give people who support rugby week in, week out, a better chance to buy tickets. Tickets will still be available on the ‘open market’ at a later date, but they will sell out quick.

A full list of matches and ticket prices is available at the bottom of this news article. However, as an indication for you now, the cheapest England ticket at Twickenham is £75 for adults and £15 for kids. However, if you would like to take little Jonny to watch Argentina Vs Georgia in Gloucester, this will cost a mere £20 for an adult and £15 for a child. The cheapest ticket for the final is £150.

So, in order to buy tickets to the RWC, you MUST send your details to the Kingswood RWC Ticket Contact, who is Tony McCarthy. You must TEXT Tony on 07779 345 429, telling him your name and email address and whether or not you wish to go for England tickets, non England tickets, or both. Please note you have to be a paid up Kingswood RFC Member to register. YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL MONDAY 5TH – SO TEXT HIM NOW!

Kingswood RFC would also like to point out at this stage that we are making no money from the sale of RWC tickets in any form. All tickets are available to Kingswood RFC Members Only. There is no allocation given to sponsors or as gifts to third parties. All prices stated are set by the IRB.
